The content of private lessons is tailored to each student’s interests and intentions, and progresses gradually through a series of four lessons.

Private lessons are open to consenting adults over the age of 20. All body types and genders are welcome. Study at your own pace at an inclusive, fluid, and non-competitive setting.
私人教学向年满20周岁、有合意能力的成年人开放。欢迎任意身体条件与性别的体验者。在一个包容的、流动的、没有竞争性的环境里按照自己的节奏学习。
Beyond techniques: a holistic Kinbaku education.
不止技巧：整体性的紧缚教育
Kinbaku is more than knots and frictions, lessons will also explore: consent, relationship tools, aesthetics, nonverbal communication, attention and awareness, time and space, improvisation, the historical contexts of Kinbaku etc.
紧缚不仅是结与摩擦力，课程中我们同样会探索：合意、关系工具、美学、非语言沟通、注意与觉察、时间与空间、即兴、紧缚的历史语境等话题。
Lesson Details 课程讯息
Private lessons are open to consenting adults. All body types and genders are welcome. Lessons are open to Kinbaku practitioners of all levels, including those with zero experience and those that are improving.
To ensure consistency of learning, lessons are offered in units. Each unit is comprised of four lessons (2.5h each). The rate is ¥3800/unit. For single lessons, the rate is ¥450/h. Each booking is 2.5h minimum.
Students should sign-up with their partner. Students without a partner may apply to work with a paid learning partner after initial screening. The rate is ¥300/lesson. During the lesson, Gandalf will tie with their teaching partner. Students are not expected to demo with the teacher.
All lessons should be completed within 90 days of payment. No refund will be issued after purchase.
By default, lessons are offered at E-Flow studio near Yueyang Rd in Xuhui District, Shanghai.
We reserve the right to turn down applications.
私人课程向有合意能力的成年人开放。欢迎任何身体条件和性别的体验者。教学面向全阶段的绳缚学习者，零基础与正在进步中的学员都欢迎报名。
为确保学习的连贯性，课程以单元形式提供。每单元四节课（2.5h每节）。价格为¥3800/单元。单节课程¥450/h，每节最低2.5小时。
学员须与搭档一同报名私教课程。没有搭档的学员可以在通过筛选后申请与收费的教学搭档合作，¥300/节。课程中的教学演示由Gandalf与自己的搭档合作完成。学员无需辅助老师示范。
全部课程需在付款后90天内完成，逾期作废。课程一经售出，概不退款。

关于私人教学的更多想法
Kinbaku is a diverse art of the body: it can be calm or dynamic; erotic or platonic; gentle or tormenting. Rope is for every person: whatever your body, gender, or relationship, there are ways of tying that can be right for you and your partner. Through private lessons, you can learn and develop your own Kinbaku under professional guidance. Alongside developing a deep and systematic understanding of technique, you will also have the freedom to explore your own expression.
The content of private lessons is tailored to each student’s interests and intentions, and progresses gradually through a series of four lessons. The format is inspired by the “Masterclass” tradition in music education: after discussing the theme of the day’s lesson, Gandalf will work with a teaching partner to demonstrate the practice, after which the student will have an opportunity to try it themselves. Gandalf will observe and offer feedback, invite the student to reflect on themes that emerge through the practice, and guide the exercises that follow.
Private lessons are a personal, fluid, and non-competitive space for learning. There is no fixed hierarchy of courses, no standardised system of evaluation, and no pressure to compare yourself with others. All you need to do is practice and reflect with care and honesty alongside your partner, and move forward at your own pace. You do not need to lose yourself in an overwhelming array of ties and positions. What matters is learning how to move each other with rope.
Gandalf teaches rope as a form of dialogue. Regardless of which technical style you choose to explore, the lessons will invite you to develop an understanding of how to collaborate and face risks together; verbal and non-verbal communication; listening, awareness, and responsiveness toward one another; the use of touch; and an awareness of space and time. Through private lessons, we hope that you and your partner will create many unique Kinbaku journeys together.
Finally, a Kinbaku dialogue takes place between two specific individuals. For this reason, private lessons are intended for both participants in that dialogue. Every lesson gives equal attention to both tying and being tied. We encourage students to sign up as a pair and learn together. Your partner may be a friend, a romantic partner, or someone you have only recently met—as long as both of you are willing to enter into a physical dialogue with one another, you are welcome to learn together.
At the same time, we understand that not everyone who wishes to study Kinbaku has a partner with whom they can practice. Students without a partner may, after a screening process, apply to work with a learning partner for an additional fee.
绳缚是多元的身体艺术：它可以是平静的、也可以是动态的；可以是情欲的、也可以是友爱的；可以是温柔的、也可以是严厉的。因此绳缚属于每个人：不论是什么样的身体、性别、和关系，都可以找到适合彼此的方法。通过私人课程，你可以在专业指导下学习和发展属于自己的绳缚，在深入和系统地掌握技巧的同时进行自由的表达。
私人教学的内容将根据学员的兴趣和意愿定制，以四节课为一单元循序渐进地进行。课程的形式像是音乐教育中的“Masterclass”：在沟通当天的教学主题之后，Gandalf会与教学搭档一起完成演示，随后由学员尝试完成。Gandalf会在观察后给予反馈，邀请学员讨论涌现出的主题并引导之后的练习。
私人教学是一个个人的、流动的、非竞争性的学习空间；没有固化的课程阶层，没有统一的评价标准，也没有与人比较的压力，你只需要在指导下用心、诚实地与自己的搭档一起练习与反馈，按照自己的节奏徐步前行。你不需要迷失于眼花缭乱的绑法与姿态，只需懂得和搭档如何在绳缚中打动彼此。
Gandalf所教学的是一种对话式的绳缚，不论你选择使用何种风格的技术，在课程中你都会学习：合意与风险中的合作；语言与非语言沟通；对彼此的聆听、觉察、与响应；触觉的运用；对空间和时间的感知。希望通过私人课程，你和搭档将一同创造许多独一无二的绳缚旅程。
最后，绳缚对话发生在两个具体的人之间，因此私人教学面向的是绳缚对话中的双方。每一节课将同时关注如何绳缚与如何被缚。我们建议学员两人组成搭档一起报名——搭档可以是朋友、伴侣、或是新认识的伙伴，只要双方愿意与彼此用身体对话，都可以一同学习。同时，我们理解并不是每一位想要学习绳缚的伙伴都有可以合作的搭档，对于没有搭档的学员可以在通过筛选后申请与收费的教学搭档合作。

在预约私人课程时，你并不需要预先了解自己“想要学到什么”。许多课程的内容会在实践中自然地涌现，有时你也会惊喜地发现自己在报名之初意想不到的兴趣，而这正是流动的课程设置的美妙之处。因此，你只需要带着好奇心以及“我对绳缚感兴趣”（不论为什么）的心情，就可以开始自己的绳缚之旅了。当然，如果你有希望在绳缚中探索的主题或者想要精进的方向，欢迎在预约时告诉我们。
When booking private lessons, you do not need to know in advance what you want to learn. Many lesson contents will emerge naturally in practice, and you may be pleasantly surprised to discover interests previously unknown. This is what is beautiful about having a free curriculum. You only need to come with curiosity and the feeling of “I’m interested in Shibari (no matter the reason)“, then you’ll be ready to begin your rope journey.
